About artist

Jacques Louissaint

Jacques Louissaint was born on July 8, 1950. He started painting at a very young age. His artwork caught the attention of Casimir Laurent, an established Haitian artist. Jacques studied briefly with Casimir but decided to make other associations in the art world. He exhibited his works in Montreal, Canada, in 1973. He also participated various group exhibitions in Paris, New York, Washington and Berlin. Louissant’s paintings are rare and a delight to art collectors. Illustrations of his painting can be seen in John Allen Franciscus’ book, “Haiti Voodoo Kingdom To Modern Riviera”.
