Jolicoeur Wilson was born in 1932 in Port-au-Prince. After graduation at the Lycee Toussaint L’Ouverture, he began painting in 1948 at the Centre d’Art. Later he joined he Foyer des Arts Plastique Gallery, where he was President and artistic counselor of design. Jolicoeur has exhibited both locally and in South America. His preferred subjects are gingerbread Haitian houses.
