Frantz Legros was born in Haiti. He began to paint in the late 1970's. Inspired by the tradition of naïf and primitive art in Haiti, he was encourged to paint by many of his fellow artist. His paintings are distinguished by the brightness and vividness of their colors. His artwork has been sold in many galleries in Haiti and abroad. He is listed in Eva Pataki's book, "Haitian Painting Art and Kitsch" and John Allen Franciscus’ book, “Haiti Voodoo Kingdom To Modern Riviera”.
