Painting Description:

“This fine oil on canvas painting is called "Les dindons". It depicts an array of multi-colored peacocks sitting in a grassy field. This painting was purchased at the Gallery Nader in Petionville in 1975. It was painted by the talented Sisson Blanchard. He is listed in several books and illustrations of his painting can be found in many Haitian Art books. His work is included in the first permanent collections of Haitian art established at a public art museum in the United States, at the Davenport Art Gallery (Iowa).”
