Raymond Dorleans was born on March 2, 1947 in Hinche, Haiti. He is considered one of Haiti's leading artists. Raymond is a very skilled designer and sketch artist. He began painting with Edgar Brierre and had his art exhibit in 1973. His work is characterized by dark blue green landscapes with bright figures. His works can be found in many private art collections worldwide. Illustrations of his painting can be seen in Gérald Alexis book, “Peintres Haïtien” and John Allen Franciscus' book, "Haiti Voodoo Kingdom To Modern Riviera".
