About the work

Painting Description:

“ This painting depicts typical rural life in Haiti. The houses in this painting are made form rugged board carved out of neighboring trees and the thatched rooftop is made from straw. Only dirt roads exist and the donkey is the primary mode of transportation. The painting also depicts a simpler, peaceful life, which many have forgotten and some long to return to.”
