Ismael, was born 1940 in Petite-Riviere-de L'artibornite. He was educated at the Friars of St. Mark and at the Antenor Firmin High School. In 1956, he joined the Centre d Art with George Ramponeau as his mentor. He participated in the foundation of the Albert Schweitzer Exhibition Hall at the DeChapelle Haiti in 1967 and became Director of the ceramic center in Ceremonies. He works has been exhibited in USA, Canada and France. Ismael died in February 2000.
