Ronald Laratte was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti in 1964. At the age of twelve, he started his apprenticeship as a stone carver in his father's workshop George Laratte, one of Haiti’s foremost sculptors. Ronald stone sculptures portray the beauty, sensuality and divinity of women. He has exhibited in Germany ministry of commerce in 1987, New York in 1989, Mexico in 1994, Florida in 1995, Santo Domingo in 1996, Martinique and Mexico Alliance Francaise in 1997.
