Merius Henry born in Bizoton, Haiti on September 1932. He completed his primary at the Damocles Vieux school in Carrefour . He was a member of the Centre D'Art which was formed by the American Journalist Dewitt Peters. He enjoyed painting little villagers, peasants, and rural scenes. His paintings are rare and selden surface on the art market. He is a listed artist in Eva Pataki's book, “Art in Kitsch” and the book "Haiti Et SES PEINTRES De 1804 a 1980” by Michel Philippe Lerebours.
